Bihar: Union Minister Nityanand Rai's nephews were part of a scuffle in Uttar Pradesh's Bhagalpur district. The feud is reportedly between water and land. In a scuffle between two brothers following a family quarrel in Navgachia, Bihar, one was left dead, while the other suffered serious injuries. Both the dead and the injured are reported to be nephews of Union Minister Nityanand Rai.
The incident occurred in Jagatpur locality of Navgachia where there was a small quarrel between Jaijeet Yadav and Vikal Yadav. Seeing this, the quarrel became so intense that there was a firing between them. One of the brothers is reported to have first fired at the other and injured him, according to reports. Following this, the attacked brother grabbed the weapon from the attacker and shot him as well.
Both brothers were admitted in a nursing home in Bhagalpur after the incident, and doctors had pronounced Vikal Yadav dead. Meanwhile, the condition of Jaijit Yadav is critical and he is undergoing treatment.
Parwatta police station in-charge Shambhu Kumar stated that the two brothers exchanged fire during the clash, and one brother was killed while the other was injured. His mother, who had come to end the violence, was also injured in the firing. Currently, he is also being treated in a private hospital.
But as soon as the firing was heard, the police arrived at the scene and began investigating the case. During the initial investigation, it was found that the altercation began over water, which eventually escalated into a deadly confrontation. Police are also investigating other details of the incident to determine the precise reasons.
